Moving forward to sustainable logistics
We understand the impact that our industry has on the environment and climate change. With this in mind, we have made great efforts to invest in environment-friendly alternatives, setting emission targets to reduce our carbon footprint and helping our customers to track and reduce their environmental impacts.
Our strict quality assurance procedures ensure that we aim to work with carriers who meet the highest standards in regard to environmentally friendly transport technology. In addition, we sponsor research initiatives for the design and implementation of new technologies such as fuel-efficient airplanes and electric trucks.

EcoVadis Sustainability Rating
In 2025, cargo-partner earned the EcoVadis Silver Medal, placing us among the top 8% of assessed companies and highlighting our commitment to sustainability. We continue to work hard on improving our rating each year by enhancing our environmental, ethical, and responsible business practices.
iLogistics Center Vienna, Austria
Our award-winning iLogistics Center next to Vienna International Airport was built entirely from wood, reducing COâ‚‚ emissions by 8,400 tons through both carbon storage and the use of sustainable materials. This innovative approach to construction prioritizes energy efficiency, durability, and environmental responsibility.

Photovoltaic Systems
We have installed photovoltaic systems at multiple facilities worldwide, including our headquarters in Austria and our iLogistics Center in Ljubljana, significantly reducing COâ‚‚ emissions and increasing our use of renewable energy. Further expansions are planned across our European warehouses to strengthen our commitment to sustainability.
Environment-Friendly Transport Alternatives
We offer a range of environment-friendly transport solutions, including rail transport, electric trucks for last-mile delivery, and sustainable air cargo options powered by SAF. In addition, we are testing HVO as a fuel alternative and promoting short-sea shipping to further reduce emissions across our supply chain.

ISO 14001 – Environmental Management
We maintain ISO 14001 certification in selected locations, ensuring compliance with internationally recognized environmental management standards.
UN Global Compact
cargo-partner is a member of the UN Global Compact, a United Nations initiative that aims to encourage companies to align their strategies and operations with universal principles on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption, and to take actions that advance societal goals.

Upcycling of Used Truck Tarpaulins
Through our partnership with tag.werk, a youth employment initiative, we repurpose old truck tarpaulins into new, functional products, giving them a second life.
cargo-partner Forest
Since 2021, cargo-partner has supported global reforestation by switching to Ecosia as our standard search engine, helping fund nearly 100,000 trees annually, and by planting over 1,000 trees through our partnership with Ecologi. We continue to explore new ways to expand our ‘cargo-partner forest’ and reduce our carbon footprint.

Sustainability through Digitalization
By leveraging digital solutions, we optimize processes, reduce resource consumption, and enhance efficiency across our operations.
Environmental Awards
We are regularly recognized for our work in promoting environmentally friendly projects in the transport industry.

Our way forward
We are committed to making measurable progress toward sustainability, with a focus on transparency and efficient data management. By implementing a corporate-wide sustainability data collection and analysis tool, we are able to track emissions, streamline workflows, and ensure that all efforts are aligned with our environmental goals.

2030 Emission Targets
We have set ambitious targets to significantly reduce our carbon footprint by 2030. These efforts will focus on lowering both direct and indirect greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, with proactive steps to integrate cleaner technologies and sustainable practices across our global operations.
