Our iLogistics Center Vienna, Austria, exemplifies our commitment to sustainability and efficient logistics. Opened in September 2018, this facility is built to the highest standards of energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.
The facility was constructed entirely from 4,200 m³ of timber. This choice resulted in 4,200 tons of CO₂ savings by replacing carbon-emitting materials with wood. In addition, the wood itself serves as a carbon reservoir, storing 0.9 tons of CO₂ per cubic meter. The combined result is a total 8,400 tons of CO₂ reduction from both the material replacement and the carbon storage properties of the wood.
The iLogistics Center was recognized with the HERMES Verkehrs.Logistik.Preis in 2018 and awarded the DGNB Gold certificate by the Austrian Sustainable Building Council in 2020 for its exemplary sustainability efforts.
